Procedure: A percutaneous access was obtained using a 4F introducer in the right femoral artery and right common carotid artery was selectively engaged using wire and angiography was obtained utilizing contrast by hand injection. Then the left common carotid artery was selectively engaged and cervical angiography was obtained utilizing contrast by hand injection. at the end of the procedure the introducer was removed.
Finding: The right common and external carotid arteries are patent. The proximal internal carotid has 80% stenosis. The distal left common carotid artery has a 20% plaque.
